'FIRST FRIDAYS'
Rolvenden Farmers Market is to hold a once a month evening market to meet demand for its produce from working members of the community. The markets, called First Fridays, will take place from 5.00pm – 7.00pm in the village hall on the first Friday in the month starting on Friday 7th March at 5.00pm. Further markets will take place on Friday 4th April and Friday 2nd May. Refreshments will also be available. If this new evening market proves successful then it will be extended for the rest of the year.

GUIDED WALKS
Rolvenden Rovers guided walks start at St. Mary's Church at 2pm every Sunday. Anyone is welcome to join in. Just turn up with suitable walking gear.

You can plan your own walk around the area using the footpath map printed on the latest Farmers Market brochure which is available at the market or from the Tenterden or Cranbrook Tourist Information Centres.

Seasonal fruit and vegetables are always available - come and buy fresh local produce.
After shopping why not treat yourself to a relaxing cup of tea or coffee and a cake in the Market Cafe in the village hall or enjoy a coffee and a chat in the Church.

Next time you visit Rolvenden Farmers Market make sure that you visit that part which takes place in St Mary's church. There are a wide variety of stalls to be found in the church including local charity Rolvenden Farmers Line which offers free range chicken, duck and goose eggs, basketry, hand made cards and paintings.

There's also Sue Morley with hand sewn scarves and bags and the Traditional Cheese Company with a selection of specialty cheeses.

Farmer Palmer offers a selection of fresh meats, VJ Game has Game and smoked produce. Eleanor Austin sells plants and shrubs. Alan Sage has a selection of basketry and Jane Emblem specializes in chair caning. There is also Fallen Angel with real beers and ales.

Lastly Lavinia's Larder has a range of home made soups, quiches, patés and home made produce. For the summer she is also offering fresh gazpacho soup, chicken & pistachio pate, smoked mackerel pate, delicious chicken liver pate and a large selection of savoury (& sweet) tarts & galettes as well as meringues & cakes.

Avid readers can exchange or buy books at the Book stall which specializes in paperbacks. After all your shopping you can enjoy a Coffee and Chat at the café in the church.
